Workshop: Hand Sewing Hexies with Scrap Fabric

  • The Reuse Hub 2200 Petaluma Boulevard North Petaluma, CA, 94952 United States (map)

Learn the art of a quilting technique called English Paper Piecing! We’ll transform small scraps of cloth into beautiful and useful pieced fabric in this beginner oriented 2 hour class. We’ll cover what kinds of repurposed fabric work best for this technique, how to prepare hexagonal paper templates and use them with our fabric scraps, and how to hand sew those hexagons together. Supplies will be provided, but if you have fabric scraps you want to use, you’re welcome to bring them.

Instructor: Soren Dawson

Class sizes are limited. Sign up here to claim your spot!

This workshop is hosted in partnership with the upcoming art exhibition It’s Not Trash: Transforming and Reclaiming at the Petaluma Art Center.
