OUR WORK: Reuse Alliance NC has created Reuse Rodeos – seasonal events where residents can bring a variety of reusable materials to one location for the benefit of multiple local reuse organizations; and Reuse Resources – documents which help residents learn more about local reuse organizations. Check out details below:

  1. Book Harvest (www.bookharvestnc.org) will collect gently used children’s books for all ages, from board books for newborns to young adult novels for high schoolers. They accept all genres including fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, books in other languages, etc.
  2. Durham Bike Co-op (www.durhambikecoop.org) believes bicycles have the power to make our local communities a better place through sound environmental practices, a commitment to sustainable economics and social equality, involvement and outreach with our local community, and promoting cycling as a healthy fitness and wellness activity. They will accept used bikes and parts and gently used clothing. Donations of new helmets will also be accepted.
  3. Kramden Institute (www.kramden.org) empowers hardworking, less-advantaged students by giving them home computers, allowing them to bridge the digital divide and advance their achievement, strengthening their contribution to the community. They will collect computer equipment and parts, including:
